Ladbrokes.com 3D Poker Review

Ladbrokes.com recently added a 3D poker room to their lineup of online gambling sites, and it has seen some decent success so far. They launched the new software exactly one year ago (November 2007), which was about a year after PKR hit the market. They don't have near the market share of PKR, but their software is still pretty good, so we chose to list them on this site. Read on for the full Ladbrokes.com review.

Ladbrokes Poker Software

The Ladbrokes software doesn't quite stack up with PKR, but we still feel that they're a solid option for non-USA players looking to play some 3D poker. Ladbrokes offers both 2D and 3D software options, but for the purpose of this review we're going to look only at the 3D poker room. The file size of the 3D poker room is 380 MB which can take a while to download if you aren't on a broadband type connection.

Once you download the software, you'll create your account and get right to playing. The environments at the Ladbrokes tables are crisp and clear, and make you feel like you're really playing poker in a casino. Just like PKR, they let you customize your avatar by changing face, body, clothing, hair, hats, accessories, and more.

At the tables, you can freely rotate the camera to any position around the table that you'd like. We recommend setting it up so you can see yourself as well as the flop, so you can easily follow the action. While you're at the table you can give off fake "tells" during hands such as scratching your chin or putting your feet up on the table. Here is an image of players at the table:

As you can see, the table resembles what you'd see on a real video game - definitely not what you're used to from an online poker room.

Ladbrokes.com Poker Games and Traffic

Ladbrokes has been in the poker business for multiple years now, and has built up a nice player base. At the time of this writing there are over 1,100 real money players online, and we imagine probably 15% of them are playing the 3D poker version. Their traffic doesn't quite stack up with the big poker sites, but there are plenty of players to keep tons of games running around the clock.

In general you're going to find more low stakes action at Ladbrokes, simply because the high stakes players stick to Full Tilt or PokerStars where the games are bigger. Also, if you play at the 3D tables the games are really fishy because most serious players stick to 2D poker action.

Ladbrokes.com Promotions

Ladbrokes.com makes life good for new depositors - in fact, every player is eligible for a 100% up to $500 bonus when they make their first deposit. This bonus isn't free money, you'll have to clear it by earning player points, but it's still a nice boost to your initial bankroll. The clearing requirements aren't that bad, and are reasonable as long as you play fairly often.

If you'd like to learn more about the bonus, as well as redeem it, visit our Ladbrokes.com Poker Bonus page.

Ladbrokes Customer Service

Ladbrokes has excellent customer service for their online poker players. They offer multiple email addresses based on what problem you have, as well as a telephone number if you need an instant response. In our experiences, the email response time is very fast, but we recommend calling for the quickest possible answer.
